Many thanks for visiting our site to find out more about the Head of Children in Care role within our Children and Young People's Directorate. We hope you find the site helpful and that it provides you with an insight into the role, the authority and why it is an exciting time to join us.
We want every child in Gloucestershire to have a good childhood which lays the foundations for successful adulthood. For most children and young people, Gloucestershire is a great place to grow up. For more vulnerable groups we want to see consistently good outcomes. We are working hard to develop high quality, proactive locality services.
We have pioneered early intervention work by rolling out common assessment across all our schools and successfully developing the budget holding lead professional role. We now want to build on all that work by coordinating the wide range of professionals working in local areas with vulnerable children and young people.
For an informal discussion about the Head of Children in Care role please contact Lydia Whelan, Interim Head of Children in Care on 01452 425585.
Once again we thank you for your interest and look forward to receiving your application.
